All it took were these words: “rock ‘n roll themed wedding”, and I was in! For Sarah and Jon, it was important that their wedding day truly reflect them as the fun, vivacious, music-filled, city-loving couple that they are! With Salvage One as the backdrop for their day, they were able to combine all the pieces that they love in their life, and have a truly one-of-a-kind wedding celebration!
The morning of wedding day was relaxing. Sarah and her bridesmaids enjoyed a lovely brunch in the Bridal Suite at the Palmer House Hilton. The ladies looked gorgeous as they had their hair done by Strange Beauty Show and makeup done by Rachel Greenblatt.
With her mother’s help, Sarah slipped into her stunning wedding gown. It was a labor of love to hook every single button on her beautiful dress!
Jon cleaned up pretty nicely himself, and soon it was time for him to see his bride for the first time!
Taking advantage of the eclectic scenery, Nick shot some great images of the couple with their wedding party!
As part of their traditional Jewish ceremony, the couple’s nearest and dearest family and friends surrounded them for the signing of the Ketubah.
Sarah looked stunning heading down the aisle to Jon, as he waited under the chuppah. Their ceremony was incredibly sweet and personal, and included a special reading of the seven blessings by seven friends and family members, as well as personal and touching vows.
For the cocktail hour, guests mingled on the first floor, perusing the salvaged architectural artifacts for sale. Those present were treated to delicious passed hors d’oeuvres created by Food for Thought. Guests signed a record to commemorate the occasion, as well as filled out fun anniversary cards for the couple. The tunes played by Dustin with Style Matters DJs, and the bride’s adorable place cards perfectly set the mood for the fun night ahead!
When it was time for dinner, guest made their way upstairs. The eclectic setting of Salvage One was enhanced by petite floral arrangements created by Mariano’s. I absolutely loved the beautiful stained glass window that served as the backdrop to the sweetheart table!
To much jubilation the DJ announced “for the first time as husband and wife: Jon & Sarah!!!”
Then Jon got serious, took off his suit jacket, and danced with his wife to “These Arms of Mine” by Otis Redding. It was a fabulous dance to a great song!
The night continued with a scrumptious dinner provided by Food for Thought. Intermingling between courses were heartfelt toasts and stories in honor of the Bride and Groom, great conversations, and energetic music! The room was abuzz with a loving joyful energy!
After dinner, Sarah and Jon stepped up to thank their guests for being a part of such an important day in their lives.
They then went on to have an adorable cupcake sharing moment! Sprinkles Cupcakes were absolutely delicious and looked fantastic on the vinyl record cake stand display Sarah had created!
Once everyone had enjoyed a cupcake, Dustin with Style Matters DJs opened up the dance floor. The evening started with the hora and continued all night mixing great tunes for the energized crowd! There was a whole lotta’ shaking going on, and everyone had a great time!
Sarah and Jon, it was an honor and a delight to coordinate your wedding celebration! The event truly reflected the love and joy that you two share for each other. I wish you both a lifetime filled with bliss, great music, and many adventures together!
